A Long Lonely Road




There are times life is a road over rough terrain
Up and down across the lonely desert and plain
I have found a road for joy and one for sorrow
There is a road for today and one for tomorrow.



My road has been chosen and I drive it with care
And will follow the way as He guides me there
On the wheel God steadies my hands
And will trust and believe He understands.



The long lonely road I shall never fear
I have faith that God will be near
Driving over mountains high and by the sea
Always remembering God watches over me.



Thanks, dear Lord, guidance given
On a long lonely road that leads to heaven
Help me to trust and never more roam
From the road leading upward to my home.
