His Perfect Love






I first learned to love from my mother,
Who showed me how sweet love can be.
Her love was complete and unchanging,
And always a comfort to me.



I fell deep in love with my Husband,
A love that has grown through the years.
Through good times and bad it has flourished,
In spite of some heartaches and tears.



I truly adored all my children,
And hardly could wait for their birth.
To have a small babe grow inside you –
There’s no sweeter joy on this earth.



And grandchildren doubled the pleasure,
As each little baby arrived.
I savored each moment I held them,
And watched as they grew up and thrived.



I have some dear friends who are loving,
And they are all precious to me.
We share all our joys and our sorrows,
And pray for each need faithfully.



But the love that I feel for my family,
And friends whom the Lord sent my way,
Can’t begin to compare with the Christ-love,
I feel every time that I pray.



For Jesus left Heaven’s pure glory,
To die on the cross in my place.
It is simply beyond comprehension ---
His gift of such love and such grace!

There is no greater love than that of our Savior Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins.
