Memories Of The Old Front Porch
Deep in our hearts there are memories
Of the days on the old front porch,
Sharing stories, sitting on the floor,
How I love to visit the porch once more.
What lovely memories we can share
On the front porch in the wicker chair
The lovely sound of water trickling down,
And feeling the presence of God so near.
God enjoys when we come to His porch
Looking heavenward into the bright sky,
Telling others how God died for them,
Sweet memories of Him will never die.
There is so much joy in remembering
All the happy, happy days of long ago,
Parents teaching us of God's love,
Reminiscing back sets our hearts aglow.
Oh the thoughts on a warm sunny day
Having fun and getting in mom's way,
Many of those memories will never part,
These are the memorystones of the heart.
Oh the fun of sharing summer flowers
As we play and run through april showers,
Birds would sing their sweet melody,
On the old front porch, What a Memory!!!
Dear precious Lord:
I come to thank you for all your love
and blessings that we enjoy each day...
God I thank you for all the care
and love you bestow upon your children...
Lord I thank you for the old front
porch and the memories that was made
it will last a life time. Lord I pray
today many will find their way to
your front porch and give their hearts
to you... Lord we know you are
coming one day to bring us home to
live with you... So I pray daily
our eyes will watch for your return
our hearts will be ready to meet you in
the air some glad morning...
Thank you Jesus, I love you!! |
Let us hold the front porch
as our gathering place
of fellowship with Jesus daily...

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. ( 1 John 5:1-3 )(KJV) |
The memories of what Jesus did by dying on the cross for us, oh how very much He loves us.
