I Want To Be Where You Are

I look around this world
and don't care for what I see,
So much confusion
Endless strife, such disharmony!

I want to be with Jesus,
The author and Finisher of My Faith
He died for me and waits for me,
upon this my life, I stake!

I would not miss my time with Him,
or any part of Eternity,
Just to be with Jesus
and have him walking close to Me.

This world has nothing to offer,
To keep me from going there,
Bright lights, bars, gambling and sin,
When I could be in a land so fare!

My Lord and God
To see you in all Your Glory,
Lay at your feet all that I am,
Jesus, let that be My story!

I have tasted and I have seen,
Enough to fill my soul,
I would not miss it for the world
With You, is where I want to go!

I don't care about the Mansions
Or riches untold,
To be with you Jesus
Is all my heart can hold!

Come now child, lay all aside,
There is no other way,
I am coming soon to bring you home,
To a place you'll want to stay!

I walk with You and talk with You,
In a land so bright and free,
Why give all that up for this old world
When you can be with Me!

No more sorrow, tears or pain,
Is my reward to thee,
When you lay down your life
And spend Eternity with Me!

Turn aside, walk away
from all entanglement and sin,
satan tries to steal you child
But do not let him win!

You cannot behold what I have made
or have in store for you,
Just hang on to your faith Child,
and I will see you through!

The enemy comes to steal and destroy,
All the good things I plan,
Do not listen to his lies or schemes
He is out to destroy all he can.

Enter the narrow gate my child,
There is no other choice for thee,
I gave you free will and you must choose
But I want you here with Me!
