Show Me Which Path

Here I am Heavenly Father in the middle of the night,
praying for You to show me which way is right.

Praying for your direction in exactly what I should do,
praying you’ll show which is right according to you.

Praying for wisdom, knowledge, and discernment today,
imploring you Heavenly Father to guide my way

I don’t want to decide by needs and desires alone,
I’m asking your perfect will for me to be shown.

I don’t want to change what you have planned for my life,
I certainly don’t want to cause any one any strife.

We’re told in your Word to ask in faith and then to believe,
and in so doing we shall then receive.

We’re told where two or more agree on what they ask in prayer,
they shall receive because you so lovingly care.

We’re told that when praises go up blessings are poured out,
and I believe every word I’ve read without a doubt.

We’re told nothing is too hard or impossible for you to do,
if we believe wholeheartedly and continue trusting you.

So here Heavenly Father is my prayer in the middle of the night,
won’t you show me the way that you know to be right!

Won’t you guide my steps Father so I don’t make a mistake,
won’t you show me which path you would have me take?
