He Will Not Forget Us
Jesus, oh how much pain You bore
Jesus, we could not love You more
You carved our souls into Your hands
That we in Heaven with You will stand
The nails they pierced Your innocent feet
That we may be at the Glory Seat
The sword it ripped open Your side
That with You in Heaven we may abide
Jesus, You hung on that tree
You died there for all, including me!
You promised You would never forget
Those scars are with You yet
But we bear not the scorn
Because of You and the Resurrection morn!
Oh, thank You Jesus for those scars
Thank You for taking what was ours!
