God Sent Me An Angel
God sent me an angel,
to love and be my friend
My friendship with my angel
will never end,
God gave her to me,
because she is kind
Faithful, caring, understanding
and so divine.
I touch her gentle wings,
to feel her close to me
She has helped me pray to God,
with eyes that see,
My angel is there to hold my hand
whenever I fall,
So close to hear me,
every time I call.
God sent me an angel,
with this beautiful soul
My heart whispers,
she is the best of all,
I will say a prayer,
thanking Jesus tonight
Who sent me an angel
with His light.
She comes when I need her
From Heaven above, so I whisper anew,
Thank you for all you have done
God has given me His angel true.
When I am ready for Heaven
God's love will take me on angel wings
I will fly to the Kingdom,
Where all the angels sing.
