Gifted With Pain?
Are ye gifted with harsh pain?
Thank our God of love.
Has not He given us a plenty,
to rise from pain, above?
Shall we not become acquainted
with it, to be our friend?
Then. we may go out and help others.
It could be our gain.
A mother bears pain when her babe is born.
Yet, she doth love.
The pain is gone instantly
and she thanks our God above.
It nestles in her warmth,
nourishes on her milk for strength.
She does all she in gifted with for this babe,
though it pained her at length.
What if, tomorrow, it has a tooth
and bites her breast?
Would not she forgive the little babe
and coo it on her chest?
God let's us have pain; sometimes,
we think more than we can bear.
But, He knows more than we and He knows
why He lets it be there.
He wants to strengthen our souls;
bring us into one with He
Whom is the end of all things ~
He who is victoriously.
We are in pain and wonder
what shall we do? Don't you?
I've been honored with it for many years.
I want to see it through.
I want to see if it's from my sin,
or is God telling me what to do.
I believe I am gifted with pain, maybe so,
I can feel what others go through.
Maybe then, I'll have more pity,
say more prayers to God above.
I know that if I am gifted with pain,
then I am, too, gifted with His love.
He will tell me in the morning,
when I am there with His Son ~
Caught up in His Glory, by His pained SON;
who victory for us won.
Did Jesus whine? No, He did not.
Did I whine? Yes, I'm afraid so.
But, it taught me the lesson, from Jesus,
that Heaven is where I'll go.
Thank you, Jesus!
