God's Greatest Gift

Jesus Christ is our true and living manna
Sent from God as heaven's Holy One
He was born in a stable in Bethlehem
Robed in flesh, He came to earth,
God's only begotten Son.

Bethlehem was called the "House of Bread"
Jesus is our living manna from on high,
When we partake of the gift of the Bread of Life,
We shall live and never die.

The Christ child in the manger
Destined to be a sacrifice on the old rugged cross
Came to earth to live and die,
For a world without hope, which was lost.

One day on Calvary's Hill
The Living Word was crucified
He willinging gave his life,
Said "it is finished"-- and then He died."

The story was not over
In three days Jesus Christ would rise,
Because He was victorious over death,
One day, we shall meet Him in the skies.

Bethlehem's Bread still lives
He is Living manna for all who hunger,
We give thanks to Jesus for His supreme sacrifice,
He lives forever as this world's greatest wonder.

The greatest gift of all is now our reason for living,
We give thanks for Christ who was born in Bethlehem
He is the gift who keeps on "giving"
We have salvation through the blood
of God's perfect Lamb.
