Only God can calm our hearts. He settles our minds when our mind settles on Him. We are easily distracted and alarmed by events and ever changing news announcements. Yet God tells us not to worry and fret and to be anxious for nothing. Do we think, "but God, these things are too big - how can we not worry?" His Word doesn't differentiate or tell us He can only handle the small things we worry over. God is a big God and He carries our big worries as well as the small ones. If we belong to Him, our burdens are His. His hand of protection is on us; He is our shelter in every storm, He is the Rock that doesn't shift or move, He is our Refuge of safety. His gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and the indwelling of His Holy Spirit in our lives keeps us and empowers us to trust Him - in all things. The peace that passes understanding is enduring. God speaks and restless hearts and lives turn to Him. He captures our fears and worries and protects us from harm. He speaks peace into our hearts and we are changed forever. Our lives are never the same. Praise Him!

I will listen to what God the Lord will say; He promises peace to His people, His saints.
