Trusting In Jesus
. . but the just shall live by his faith. ( Habakkuk 2: 4 )
There is an old hymn which we used to sing called, "Living by Faith." The words to the song tell us that whatever tomorrow should bring, though sunshine or rain; our Lord has everything under control. All of our worry is in vain, as we cannot change the things God knows will come to pass. Living by faith is to be our way of life, as without faith; it is impossible to please the Lord.
Abraham lived by faith, and was pleasing to the Lord. He was willing to follow the Lord, as He led Him, not knowing where he was going; but
fully trusting in God's guidance in all things. As we follow the Lord, we
may not know what tomorrow holds in store for us, but we do know
the one who holds tomorrow. When we walk with the Savior, we
trust Him for all our tomorrows, as the saints of the Old Testament
who walked by faith.
As the words to another old song tell us, "tis so sweet to trust in
Jesus. . .just to take Him at His word." Is there any other way to
be happy? Only by trusting in the Lord and resting on His promises,
will we know true joy and peace.
By faith, we live and press on toward the mark of the high calling
in Christ Jesus our Savior. By our faith, we shall be justified as we
trust in our Savior. Faith is the evidence of things not seen, the substance of what we hope for and believe will come to pass. Faith is our calm assurance in knowing everything is going to be alright in Christ. Embrace His promises and keep your eyes on Jesus. By faith, we shall feel no alarm and will have true victory in Jesus.
Blessings In Christ,

And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. ( 2 Samuel 22:2-4 )(KJV) |
