Needs Are Never Ignored

Hear our plea
Dearest Heavenly Father;
I know we can’t solve this problem
by just trying harder.

We’ve calculated and compromised
in every way we could,
until finally giving it to You
as we should.

We tried to figure a way out
of it on our own,
instead of laying at the cross
as the Bible has shown.

We’ve thought and thought
until our minds are worn thin,
we’ve hoped and hoped
some fortune we’d win.

We’ve even attempted
to make a loan;
we’ve tried every worldly solution
of mankind that’s known.

Then we came to our senses
and gave it to You,
asking that Your will alone
be what You do.

A possibility has opened one
we hadn’t seen before,
we just want to Thank You Father
needs are never ignored.

Thank You for an opportunity
may Your will be done,
Thank You for hearing our plea
in the name of Your Son!
