Keep My Eyes Trained On Thee

The World is a mess in so many ways,
keep my eyes trained on thee Lord this I pray!
The weather was horrific storms left and right,
water and wind with devastating might.
Emotionally and financially we’re facing ruin I fear,
all signs we’re told that Jesus’ coming is near.
Those who have Bibles and are reading them
periodically trust in The Word despite what we see.
We know that our needs will be completely met,
so the Daily News simply can’t cause us to fret.
God has used Ravens to deliver food in the past,
and how long did the Widow’s oil and flour last?
Did you hear of the Manna which fell from the sky
or the water from the rock which Moses supplied?
Have you heard the tale of the lad’s fishes and bread,
by which thousands of men and women were fed?
The Bible is filled with tales to boost our faith
and diminish our fright,
assurances from God Himself that it’s alright.
Yet there are some I’m afraid these assurances haven’t heard,
why some may never even have opened the Word.
It behooves those of us who know and understand,
to share with the World God’s awesome salvation plan.
It is for us to share the love we’ve been so freely given,
and strive to reach out to those who are fearfully living.
It is for us to pray for guidance in all that we say and do,
and when we vote ask God His will to view!
Seek God’s guidance on whom He’d have us vote,
a guarantee we’ll not end up trembling in fear.
Continue to reach out to others doing all that you can,
striving to share God’s love as you tell of His salvation plan!
