Faith



From the start

we are taught

to walk the walk

and faith is sought



From the time that I was little

I sensed a different feel

faith was my true friend

to me it did appeal



Somewhere down the line

I lost that perfect sense

got in with the wrong crowd

teetered on the fence



Then life's events did happen

and I teetered to the right

on the right side of the fence

where everything was bright



I never lost my faith

just got a bit way laid

and now my faith is strong and sure

my day is now sure made



For when I get down and out

or it's hard to conceive

I just lean on faith

and what I believe
