Love
Devotion so strong with respect
A love for one you’d never neglect
Sometimes we see a person from afar
Our heart skips a beat, and we wonder who they are?
When we meet that special one we feel enchantment
Over time a love develops and we feel contentment
You begin to feel the warmth and friendship
Developing slowly over time with courtship
Everyone sees adoration that you have for your mate
Sometimes we wonder did we meet through fate?
In the twinkle of your eyes, and smile on your face
A love so true just for you to embrace
Endearment for family and friends
Our affection for them transcends
With warmth, fondness and attachment
Feelings of closeness are so apparent
Many types of love as we grow
Even a little pet set our hearts aglow
Children are so special God’s gifts
Our hearts and souls feels such a lift
Each love so different and yet so constant
An emotion of affection very much abundant
For family, friends and that special mate
To fall in love is never too late
