For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures.

We have a message given us which will never change or grow old. It is the good news of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot change the message, but the message will change us, if we let the spirit of the Lord work within our heart and life. Jesus works from the inside out, by His Spirit. Changes must be made in one's heart, before there will be lasting changes in a life.

The Apostle Paul did not invent the message he delivered to both Gentile and Jew. He boldly proclaimed that his words were those which he also had received. The early disciples had a message to deliver, which was also given to them to transform the world. We are also to study the truth, confess the truth, teach the truth and be sanctified through the truth. The message of the Lord and the gospel, is the power of God unto salvation. We have been given timeless truths for tough times.

In today's society, we see many new religions which have sprung up , teaching another gospel. The beliefs have been fabricated, and not given by divine inspiration, as those given by the Lord. We are to turn away from teachings which do not confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and eternal life. There is but one mediator between God and man, the Lord Jesus Christ. The message which was given to the disciples is the same message the Lord gives us today, and is to be proclaimed until the day of the Lord.

Many teachings today may sound good and appeal to the emotions or the flesh, yet when examined in the light of God's Word; we find they fall short of the doctrines taught by Jesus and the Apostles. We walk by faith and not by sight, and are to be led by the Spirit of the Lord. God's Spirit and the Word always agree. Our Lord has given us spiritual armor and weapons of warfare which are not carnal, but mighty. Strongholds crumble in the name of the Lord, as we trust in Him with our whole heart.

May our hearts be filled with wisdom of the Lord and discernment to know the truth, which sets one free. Only in Christ, can we have blessed assurance and hope, proclaimed in God's holy Word. On Christ the 'Solid Rock' we must stand. All other ground is just sinking sand. When we have the right foundation, we can be assured our steps will be directed in right paths, as Jesus leads the way. The message changes us, as the Master writes His words upon our hearts. May He be glorified, as we give thanks and adoration, to the King of all Kings.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
