Count Your Blessings





I used to sit
and frown in the dark
but then God spoke
to me listen; hark



Look what you have
not what you don't
and happiness will come
or maybe it won't





But I do know this
said my Father above
look in your heart
you're sure to find love



So I trailed off to bed
next morning awoke
God once again
to me He spoke





Feel any different
and indeed I felt
grateful for good things
bad things did melt



The sun seemed much brighter
and to each problem an end
I realized I had family
and all of my friends





So now I arise
and with God, I'm not messing
for I am so "rich"
as I count every blessing
