I Won’t Be Swayed

I almost got caught in a trap the enemy laid,
but God intervened now I won’t be swayed.

Meanings of words were maligned and twisted,
there could have been a war but I resisted.

The enemy is like a roaring lion for sure,
but with God’s loving grace he can be ignored.

The enemy thought I was defeated,
but Jesus intervened from the throne
on which he’s seated.

I won’t allow separation between God and me,
nor will I let him disrupt my Church Family!

I won’t be disrupted diverted or dismayed;
I won’t get snared in any trap that his has laid.

I refuse to fall apart I refuse to give into sin;
I won’t be swayed by the likes of him!

No matter what happens or what appears to be,
I know my Father is watching over me.

I know I am saved so I’ll continue living the part,
since Jesus abides deep within my heart.
