Finding Solace
When emotional clutter occupies my mind,
Solace and serenity, I ask to find.
A chat with a dear friend,
Comfort and solace to me, it will send.

A resolutionary dream, with words
Of reassurance from my Mom,
Bathe my thoughts in a way
That is pleasant and serene.

A conversation with the Lord, above,
Will enfold me into the arms
Of consolation and eternal love.

Speaking to a professional
And seeking advice,
Will enable me to break
The hard emotional ice.

E-mailing and sharing,
Enables me to benefit from those
Who are giving and caring.

Thus, solace can be found
In many ways,
And reading the Psalms will add peace
To each one of my days.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me. God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
