Child Of God





I am a child of God
Still so small, and innocent
The world is full of explorations
As I haven't grown up yet



I hope I can get through this
Being grown is sometimes not so grand
I want to be sure my heart holds up
To all the test's it must withstand



I still see wonderment before me
My heart soars like a butterfly
Everyday a new experience
And I've been told I must always try



I pray God hears my whispers
As I lie in bed each night
I want to be sure he kisses me before slumber
And wakes me with his love in the morning light



I know I will need him always
No matter how big I may grow
For without him I am nothing
I just thought that you should know
