Chronicles Of His Faithfulness
There are hard situations that will test our faith
and shake us down to the very core.
And we're faced with the challenge to keep walking ahead
though fear comes to knock at the door.
So we start living a story that we never dreamed
while hanging on to the King's right hand.
And it's there that we see God is really trustworthy
through the darkness we don't understand.
And it's there in the unknown...that His mercy is shown toward us, when we take and receive.
Every bit of His character is written on our hearts
when by faith we just trust and believe.
It's there in our weakness and our human frailty
that we admit how much we need Him.
And His strength is infused...and graciously used
for each crisis before it begins.
It's there in the testing that God sends a blessing
of more faith...like we never knew.
For we take our lives one-day-at-a-time
while we wait for the things He will do.
And the season we felt we might not survive
becomes more priceless with each passing day.
For the chronicles of His faithfulness become our life story
when everything else falls away.

[5] Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.
[6] Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.
[7] How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
[8] They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.
[9] For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
[10] O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
( Psalm 36:5-10 )(NKJV)
[8] But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
[9] Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
[10] And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face.
( Deuteronomy 7:8-10 )(KJV) |
