He Took Our Place
Upon the Lord, our sins were all laid
Upon His shoulders, He carried sins heavy weight
Jesus knew each of us would turn to our own way,
Our Savior willing took our iniquities, on that dark day.
We were like lost sheep, who had gone astray
With no way to return to the Good Shepherd's fold,
Jesus came to earth to rescue us,
He came to redeem our lost and dying souls.
He born the pain and suffering, that should have been ours
The agony was more than our minds could ever comprehend,
We should be the ones with hands and feet that are nail scarred,
But our Loving Savior was nailed to the cross, for the iniquity of all men.
Jesus could have called down ten thousand angels
On that dark day at Calvary's lonely hill,
But He stayed on the cross and whispered our names,
He gave His life freely, that salvation could be revealed.
No wonder we call Him the Savior,
No wonder we call Him our Lord and King of all Kings,
There was no other who could give us salvation and new life,
God's "perfect Lamb" is the one who makes our hearts sing.
Blessings In Christ,

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
