Life’s A Mess





I’ve come to a conclusion
that I must confess,
I’ll obligingly share it with you
life’s a mess.


In case you haven’t been around
for very long,
as life continues you’ll discover
it is not a song.


There are pains and agonies
that people go through;
the hardest being that
of those very close to you.




There are problems
that come up time after time,
that could burden your soul
or cloud your mind.


There are instances
when you may feel all alone,
no one comes to the door
or even calls on the phone.


There are decisions to be made
often you fear making a mistake,
wanting to do what’s right
for everyone’s sake.




You don’t want to choose wrong
you inwardly confess,
in absolute frustration
you cry life’s a mess!


Life needn’t be messy
there’s a choice to be made;
you can accept salvation
and the price Jesus paid.


Oh the enemy still attacks
and the troubles come just the same,
but you are strengthened
by saying Jesus’ name.




You know you’re not alone
the decisions are His to make,
and with Him in charge
there’s never a mistake.


You won’t have to fear
growing weak or weary;
your relationship with Jesus
will never cause you to be teary.


You will have absolute confidence
in every promise God ever gave,
once convinced He raised
Jesus from the grave.




Yes life’s a mess
but yours’ needn’t be,
just accept Jesus as your salvation
now and throughout eternity!
