Closer To You



Oh sweet Jesus how I love thee!
Want to walk with you each day.
If you were to come tonight,
I wonder what I would say.


Could I be proud of what I was today,
Or would I bow my head in shame.
Would I make excuses for time ill spent,
And to you try to explain?


       


I pray that I will acknowledge,
Your presence every day.
And even though I cannot see,
Each day for guidance pray.


I'll go wherever you lead me,
Wherever the road may be,
Just to spend the day with you,
Means all the world to me.


       


I can't wait for dawn to awaken;
See where You and I will go,
I know wherever it may be
To someone Your love we'll show!
