Our God Of Love






How many times do we cry or whine,
thinking we aren't loved,
When all we need do is to look forward
to the Heaven's above?


How many times do we say
we will go to our bed and pray?
Oft times, our thoughts get on other things
and we wait another day.



Do we really mean it when we tell someone
we will help all around?
Sure, at that moment but, later,
we are busy and let our friend down.


Let us watch for these errors,
that we all are, at times, so guilty of.
We wonder what our Lord thinks;
but He does still truly give love.



What about tomorrow, that we
promised a friend to do a chore?
Do we ever think, in our heart, that they
think we don't love anymore?


We should pray for forgiveness to Jesus,
who died upon that old cross.
He will forgive, quickly, if we conquer sin
and not suffer great loss.



I want to see Him in that glorious time
when we see Him coming near.
I pray all would confess His name
whereas their hearts would be clear.


I pray our hearts will be loving,
to each and every friend or foe.
When Jesus calls a sinner to His altar,
I pray they will gladly go.



Let us look for His soon coming
in a cloud, way up high in the sky.
Should not we pray for forgiveness
to our Lord, always standing by?


I pray we shall correct our manners;
stand on our Lord's holy word.
When we make it right with Him,
it will be sweetest story ever heard.
